Elevated Weeknight Entertaining — Let's Host a Pizza Night At Home

Elevated Weeknight Entertaining — Let's Host a Pizza Night At Home

Who doesn't love pizza? And what's better than homemade pizzas made by you and your friends at Home? Hosting a make-your-own pizza night is an elevated yet simple dinner party theme you can throw together on the fly! (Now that's our kind of impromptu party).

We partnered with Talea Beer, a Brooklyn-based female-founded brewery, Jersey Italian Gravy tomato sauce, and Rabble to host our weeknight pizza party, and now we have all the tips and tricks for you to host your own.

Here's how we did it:

THE PREP

Your grocery store list is simple; we stopped at Whole Foods for a one-stop shop.

  • Jersey Italian Gravy
  • Pizza Dough
  • Your Choosing of Pizza Toppings
  • Talea Beer
  • Savorly Cocktail Bites

At Home, before your guest arrives, set your beers on ice and throw our Savorly Cocktail Bites into the oven. Our beer pairing of the night was Talea's Al Dente Italian-style pilsner.

THE DECOR

We kept it simple– For the table setting, we chose a green checkered tablecloth, our 'fall' take on the traditional Italian aesthetic, and styled it with some vintage tomato cans filled with greenery.

BEER & APPS

Begin the night with some beer + apps, and you catch up and wait for all your guests to arrive.

PIZZA

Now we are ready to make the pizzas. First, get your pizza dough and roll it out after you sprinkle some flour on your station. Next, spread the Jersey Italian Gravy tomato sauce onto the dough.

Next, you can let your imagination run free with any pizza toppings you might want to use. We went for a classic mozzarella and basil; brie, pear, and balsamic drizzle pizza; and arugula, fig, and prosciutto.

Throw the assembled pizzas in your pre-heated oven and wait around 25 minutes, depending on their size. Once the dough has risen, the cheese is melted, and the top is crispy, you can take them out and they're ready to enjoy!

WHILE YOU WAIT

The rules are simple: two teams compete to guess their Rabble Cards as quickly as possible by giving clues. Each team can play Challenge Cards to slow down the other team by making them do ridiculous challenges such as “fist-bump the air” or “give clues in a British accent.”

Trust us, this game, without a doubt, will guarantee a goofy and entertaining way to ensure your pizza party is a success!
